Provost, VC for Finance to hold Office Hours to discuss Budget Allocation Model

Provost David Manderscheid and Senior Vice Chancellor Chris Cimino will hold a series of open office hours to address questions and concerns about the university’s transition to a new budget allocation model.

Anyone is invited to drop in to discuss their questions in a one-on-one or small-group setting. Four hour-long sessions will be held over the next two months in Student Union Room 260:

Chancellor Donde Plowman in August assembled a team of faculty and staff to begin the process of redesigning our budget model with the goals of aligning resources with strategic priorities, creating greater transparency and accountability, and giving departments more control over their own budgets.

Manderscheid and Cimino are co-chairs of this steering committee, which has spent the past several months examining the university’s current approach to resource allocation and will develop a set of recommendations for a new process. The group held an open forum for the campus in October and another will be scheduled early in the spring semester.
